Return of the Mecca - Pete Rock & CL Smooth

So this is my new thing.  Every Friday I’m gonna post an absolute cracker of a tune from back in the day.

I grew up listening to hip hop in the 90′s (that’s right, The Golden Era) and have recently been catching back up with some of the amazing music that came out during that decade.

On a side note, I’m also working a new DJ mix called Golden Kids featuring nothing but the best of 90′s hip hop.
That’s coming in the New Year – I’ll post it up then, so don’t go ruining your Christmas over it.

For now, I’ll just give props to an amazing classic every Friday, starting with this one:

They Reminisce Over You by Pete Rock and CL Smooth – seriously soulful, timeless and making everyday things sound damn beautiful.
